After immigrating to the United States with his family in the mid-1980s, Horacio Tijman established American Detail Cleaning (ADC) in 1988 (officially incorporated in 1991). Drawing upon extensive hands-on expertise in textile chemistry, carpet care, and architectural finishes, Horacio recognized that prestigious law firms and corporate headquarters in Washington D.C. and Maryland were frustrated by cookie-cutter janitorial franchises that neglected valuable wood paneling and marble lobbies.
